Innovated Manufacturing was truly honored to be recognized by Portage Robotics Porta-Botz at a recent robotics competition on December 13th. During the event, we received a signed letter from the students along with medals presented by their robotics coach Mr. Kappes. Being acknowledged in such a thoughtful way and seeing our company showcased at the competition was an incredibly meaningful experience for our team.

This effort was a simple way to say thank you to those who show up every day to protect and serve others.

A Moment That Redefined What’s Possible

What began as a simple day at the range became an unforgettable milestone for Life Scout Jacob Gates Ehlers, who uses a wheelchair and wanted the chance to shoot at Camp Frank S. Betz. A group of Eagle Scouts and VEX robotics students came together to make it happen, designing and building a custom robotic mount that allowed Jacob to aim and fire a .22 rifle using only a joystick and a button.
 

Community Craftsmanship in Action

The project started with a few 3D-printed parts and a shared determination to help Jacob participate fully. When he took his first independent shot and hit the target, the crowd didn’t just cheer, they witnessed the power of collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving united for a purpose.
